Annual schedule
September - December (Autumn Term)
At the start of the Autumn term, auditions take place for:
- new Junior members
- Junior members wishing to become Senior members
- new Senior members
During the remainder of the Autumn term MYTS holds educational workshops in singing, movement and drama, working towards performances and concerts to be held later in the term.
January - April (Spring Term)
At the start of the Spring term, auditions are held for the principal performers for our annual production. All other MYTS members make up the chorus for the production.
April - July (Summer Term)
Rehearsals continue throughout the Summer term, culminating in a run of performances of the show in July.
Additional performances
In addition to our major production, we are often invited to perform at concerts. Over the last year we have been involved in:
- the Lord Mayor's Show
- a concert for the Broughton Women's Institute
- 2 Christmas concerts for MYTS parents
- Stafford Christmas Parade (the float we were on came second!)
Where possible, we try to give those members who don't have a part in the main production the opportunity to perform solos, if they wish.
